CHESAPEAKE: William Conner, 80, of Hamilton Street passed away September 17, 2006 in Norfolk. Born in Roberson County, NC to the late Weldon and Mittie Bass Conner. He retired with the United States Navy with more than 20 years of service, had also worked at Industrial Hardware and was a member of Living Waters Church of God.
He is survived by his loving wife Margaret Hayes Conner; four daughters, Faye Miller and her husband, J. C. of Virginia Beach, Nancy Gail Conner of Chesapeake, Roseanna Ward and her husband, Frank of Virginia Beach and Saundra Conner of Atlanta, Georgia; one son, Carey Conner and his wife, Marcella of Chesapeake; one, brother, George Conner of Hopewell, VA; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, and was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Conner;
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at 11 a.m. at Graham Funeral Home, Greenbrier Chapel, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake with Rev. Jack Sawyer officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Memorial Park, Norfolk The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 7-8 p.m.
