George Skac

Skac, George, 67, of Ellis Ave., died Friday, at St. Ann's Hospital. Born in Somers, Ct a son of Marie (Festa) Skac of Somers and the late Frank Skac. Beloved husband of Barbara Skac. He was a technician for Sunoco Oil. He was a member of the US Coast Guard. He was a member of the Warren Fire Department, Rough & Ready Engine 5, where he moved up the ranks before becoming Captain for several years. Loving father of Patricia DeMarco of Bristol; Mary Skac and Frank Skac both of Warren; And Caroline Lugo of Central Falls. Grandfather of Amanda Skac, Benjamin Boyle, Desaray Skac, Sydney and Jaylin DeMarco, Kyle Lugo, and Isaac Skac. He also leaves his sister Patricia Perry of Somers CT. He was the brother of the late Arlene Farwell. Arrangements are with Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Rd., Warren, where the family will receive friends 4-8pm Monday. Funeral Tuesday 9am at the funeral home, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St Mary of the Bay Church, 645 Main St., Warren at 10am. Burial in St Mary of the Bay Cemetery.
