C. Grace Kirchner

C. Grace Kirchner, 81, passed away peacefully on September 12th, 2007, at Woodbridge Health Campus in Logansport, IN. She was born in Kenosha, WI, to the late James and Adele Waldo. Grace graduated from Wilmot High School and attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, graduating with a degree in home economics. Grace married Walter Kirchner on July 3, 1948. As a long time resident of Lake Zurich, IL, she was instrumental in the founding of the Messiah Lutheran Church preschool in Wauconda. Grace especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. Grace is survived by her four children, Carol (Mark) Muehlhausen of Logansport, IN, Kathy (Bill) Trarbach and Cindy Kirchner, both of Appleton, WI, and Bill (Fran Euker) Kirchner of Roscoe, IL; her eight grandchildren, Seth, Abigail, and Walter (Kim Witham) Trarbach, Amy (Charles) Price, Adam and Andrew Muehlhausen, and Ryan and Leeann Kirchner; and a great-grandchild, Jathyn Price. Grace was preceded in death by her husband, Walter; her sister, Meg Niemi; and her brother, Shuart (Barney) Waldo. The celebration of Grace's life will be on Saturday, September 15th, at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, 10239-136th Avenue, Kenosha, Wisconsin. The visitation will be at 10:00 am with the funeral following at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at South Bristol Cemetery.
