Dorothy Hunter

The Hunter family is saddened to announce the death of Dorothy Mary Hunter on Sunday, June 27, 2010, surrounded by her loving family after a long courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, at Brockville General Hospital Palliative Care at the age of 76 years. Beloved wife of William A. Hunter (57 years). Loving mother of Deborah Keffer (Chris) of Brockville and Bill Hunter (Randi) of Winnipeg MB. Fondly remembered by five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Dear sister of James Rankin (Helen) of Maple Ridge BC and Robert Rankin of Flushing NY. Sister-in-law of Doug and Linda Hunter of Winnipeg, Bob and Audrey Hunter of Brockville and Barb Charron (the late Rollie) of Burlington. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Bob and Ivy Rankin and parents-in-law Bill and Gert Hunter. Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Wednesday, June 30th after 9:00 a.m. Funeral services will be held in the chapel on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. commencing with a Legion Tribute by the officers and members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 96. Cremation to follow at Roselawn. In remembrance, donations to Brockville District Palliative Care will be gratefully acknowledged.
