Obituary for Ward Clarke Mason

Ward Clarke Mason, 76, of 305 Margarita Lane NE, died Sunday, May 22, 2005, at his home following a sudden illness. Memorial Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2005, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion by Rev. Del Bear. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Private family burial will be at Mt. Clark Cemetery. Survivors include his sons, Brad Mason and wife Brenda of Cedar Rapids and Steven Mason and wife Marilyn of Las Vegas; seven grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eileen and a son, Craig. Ward was born April 28, 1929, the son of Clarke and Teckla (Johnson) Mason in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He worked as a tool and die maker all his life until his retirement. Ward served with the U.S. Air Force from 1947-1951. He was a member of the Moose and the Eagles.
