Obituary for Katherine Margaret McDonald

Peacefully surrounded by her family at the Cornwall Community Hospital, McConnell Site, on Thursday, September 8, 2005. Katherine Margaret McDonald (nee McLean) of Chateau Cornwall; age 97 years. Beloved wife of the late Alex McDonald. Cherished and devoted mother of Duncan McDonald (Francine) of Val dOr, Quebec, Hugh McDonald (Marilyn) of Sault Ste. Marie and John McDonald (Linda) of Perth, Australia. Dear grandmother of Gary, Steve, Marnie, Tara, Krista (Jeff) and Heather. Dear daughter of the late Donald (Dan) McLean and Catherine Kennedy. Predeceased by five brothers, John Angus, Alex John, Duncan, John and Hugh McLean and by three sisters, Annie McCulloch, Mary Christena Weir and Isabel McCormick. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main Street South, Alexandria, (525-2772) on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Catherine of Sienna Church, Greenfield on Monday, September 12, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery. In her memory, Memorial Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. As a memorial to Katherine, a tree will be planted in Memory Woods. A tree grows - memories live.
