Obituary for Arthur Francis Stangle

Passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Sunday, September 11, 2005 at the Ottawa Hospital, General Campus. Arthur Francis Stangle of Maxville; age 70 years. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy Stangle (nee MacWhirter). Dear father of Ron Hotton and Janet Sabourin (Donald) both of Maxville and Cathy Dow (Dave) of Metcalfe. Cherished grandfather of Jonathon (Krissy), Christopher and Charlie Sabourin and Derrick and Kevin Dow. Dear son of the late Arthur Stangle and the late Alice Gough. Brother of Allan Stangle (Jean) and Frank Stangle (Dale) both of Montreal, Eric Stangle (Jean) of British Columbia, Grace Menard (Norman) of Morrisville, Vermont, Marilyn Schimek (Rudy) of Ottawa and Elaine Mullin of Cornwall. Predeceased by his brother, Earl Stangle. Brother-in-law of Melba Skene (Clifton) and Gordon MacWhirter (Anne). Predeceased by his brothers-in-law, Eric MacWhirter (Audrey) and Clifford Mullin. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call at the Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 20 Main Street, Maxville, (527-2898) on Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 12:30 p.m. until time of the Service. A Celebration of Arthurs life will be held on Wednesday, September 14, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Munro and Morris Funeral Home followed by cremation. In his memory, Memorial Donations to the Ottawa Regional Cancer Clinic would be appreciated by the family. As a memorial to Arthur, a tree will be planted in Memory Woods. A tree grows - memories live.
