Frances Anderson Elsea, 84, of 611 Pickens Bridge Road, Piney Flats passed away at her residence on Saturday, May 27, 2006. She was a lifelong Sullivan Co., resident and a daughter of the late Richard M. and Mattie Adams Anderson. She was also preceded in death by two grandchildren, Whitney Hoilman and Samuel Elsea. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Glen Edward Elsea. She was a member and had served in many capacities at Piney Flats United Methodist Church. Survivors include two sons, Steven Elsea and his wife Debra and Phillip Elsea and his wife Jane all of Piney Flats; 5 daughters, Glenna Elder and her husband Dan of Arkport, NY, Janet England and her husband Gary of Knoxville, Sara Elsea of Piney Flats, Ann Bilbrey and her husband Carl of Cookeville, TN and Amy Hoilman and her husband Bryan of Johnson City; two sisters, Louise Trivett of Piney Flats and Virginia Lee Steadman of Winston-Salem, NC; ten grandchildren, Heath Elsea, Blair Elsea, Kay Elsea, Leah Elsea, Jessie Fredrickson, Joe Fredrickson, Benjamin Elder, Rachel England, Matthew England and Clinton Hoilman and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service has been scheduled for 7:00 PM Tuesday at the Piney Flats United Methodist Church. Rev. Laura Rasor will officiate. Graveside services will be conducted at 3:30 PM Tuesday at the Shell Cemetery in Piney Flats. Pallbearers will be Heath Elsea, Clint Hoilman, Joe Fredrickson, Matthew England, Matt Trivett, Rick Trivett and John Trivett. The family will receive friends at the church from 5::00 until 7:00 PM Tuesday. The family will continue to receive friends following the memorial service.
