NORMA JEAN NIGGLI, 80, a resident of McMinnville died at the Fir Crest Care Home Saturday, January 1, 2011. She was born on January 18, 1930 in Lyons, Oregon the daughter of Fred and Minnie Jones Niggli. She lived in Lafayette for many years before moving to McMinnville five years ago. She loved music, dancing and singing. She raised beautiful African Violets, fish and loved her pets. She is survived by her son LeRoy of Montana, granddaughter Keri, who worked at Fir Crest to be close and care for her and four additional grandchildren, sisters Patricia Kuhns of Newport News, Virginia, Kathleen Baker of Redding, Iowa, Dorothy Bernard (Larry) of Dexter, Oregon, Susan Niggli of Salem, Karen VanBibber of Sheridan, Sharon Payne (Richard) of Umatilla, Nancy Burks of Willamina, brothers Larry Niggli (Rosemary) of Snohomish, Washington and John Niggli of Sheridan and a sister-in-law Sharlene Niggli of Dundee. She was preceded in death by a brother Richard “Sunny” Niggli and a sister Nadine Niggli Private family services will be held. The arrangements are under the direction of the Bollman Funeral Home.
