Louise Metts King

Frankfort- Graveside services for Louise Metts King, 83, of Seminole Trail, will be Tuesday, May 27, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. at Blue Grass Memorial Gardens.

She died Wednesday, May 21, 2008, at James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital, Harrodsburg, following an illness.

Born October 1, 1924, she was a Franklin County native and a homemaker.

She is survived by her son, Ronnie Shy, Ft. Lauderdale, FL; two brothers, Joseph Barr Metts and Marion Franklin “Prissy” Metts (Faye), both of Frankfort; a step-daughter, Bonnie Stoddard, FL; step-grandson, Charlie Scoble; FL; nephews, Jerry Metts, Louis Metts, Cliff Denton Metts, and Barry Joe Metts, all of Frankfort; and nieces, Nancy Belle Metts and Dana Collins, both of Frankfort; Sharon Martin Bartow, FL, and Pam Hall, Nicholasville.

She was the widow of Charles King and the daughter of the late Grover Metts Sr. and Ida Belle Tincher Metts. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Grover “Joe Bill” Metts Jr. (Katheryn), and Leon Metts, and her sister, Lena May Torsch.

The service will be conducted by Rev. Billy Perkins.

A private visitation will be observed.
