Daniel Disponett Frankfort- Services for Daniel “Danny” Leo Disponett, 63 yrs., of Frankfort, will be conducted from Harrod Brothers Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2009 with Rev. Sherman Warfield officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Nelson National Cemetery, Nicholasville, Ky, with military honors being observed at the graveside. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 2, 2009 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. He passed away Sunday, May 31, 2009 at St. Joseph Hospital, Lexington, following a long illness. A native of Shelby County, he was born, July 5, 1945, and was a self-employed mechanic and electrician. He attended Franklin County High School and served three years in the U.S. Army with a tour in Germany. Danny was a member of the VFW Post 4057 and the American Legion Post 7 and attended Camp Pleasant Baptist Church. He is survived by his daughter, Tiffany Danielle Disponett, Lexington; brothers, Ronnie and Wally Disponett, both of Frankfort; sisters, Mary Jo Ogden, Frankfort, Ella Tuttle, Shelbyville, Patty Dempsey (Ronnie), Frankfort, and Betsy Childress, Frankfort; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Horace Gilman and Janie Elizabeth Holt Disponett and was also preceded by two brothers, Donald and Buford Disponett and four sisters, Ruthie Marie Disponett, Mildred Walz, Georgia Moore and Barbara Dunn. He was a loving father and brother and loyal friend to many. He will be deeply missed by those who were blessed to have him in their lives. Pallbearers will be Mark Cook, Derek Disponett, Shawn Disponett, Gil Cook, Ronnie Dempsey and Brandon Moore. Honorary bearers will be Reuben Walker, Ronnie Haggard, Tony Moore, Jackie Jenkins and Tyler Wilson. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Humane Society of choice, or Hospice of the Bluegrass/Frankfort Office, 208 Steele St., Frankfort, Ky 40601.
