Obituary for Loretta A. Gumm

Loretta A. Gumm, 79, of 117 Market Street, Kohler, began her eternal life surrounded by her loving family on Friday afternoon, June 9, 2006 shortly after being admitted at St. Nicholas Hospital.
Loretta was born on July 31, 1926 in Ada in the Town of Herman, the daughter of the late Rymond and Elsie (Kuhn) Zimmermann. She attended school in Johnsonville and the Mission House. On June 26, 1946 she married the late Milton H. Gumm at St. Mark UCC in the Town of Mosel. He preceded her in death on February 10, 1997. Loretta was employed by the Village of Kohler as a custodian for over 43 years before her retirement in 2005.
Loretta was a member of Ebenezer UCC in Sheboygan and was an active volunteer for various Craft Fair and youth group activities. She was also a volunteer for Above and Beyond Children Museum. Loretta enjoyed bowling, gardening, bingo, baking, and card playing. Most of all though, she cherished the time she could spend with her family.
Loretta is survived by two daughters, Janis (Robert) Albrecht of Sheboygan and Patricia (David) Droege of Sheboygan; two sons, Lelan "Lee (Barbara) Gumm and Darryl (Phyllis) Gumm, both of Kohler; ten grandchildren, Jason (Lori) Albrecht, Daniel (Angela) Albrecht, Cory (friend Desiree Rubio) Albrecht, Ronald (Jolene) Albrecht, Michael (Sara) Droege, Brian Gumm, Eric Droege, Kari (Chris) Bonde, Kevin (Candee) Gumm, and Timothy Gumm; six great grandchildren, Kelsey Votis, Bianca Bonde, Casandra, Kyra, and Shaunna Albrecht, and Kimberlynn Gumm; two sisters, Romelda Wunsch of Sheboygan and Georgine (Gene) Littlefield of Plymouth; and two sisters-in law, Marian (Gilbert) Dedering of Kiel and Lorraine Gumm of Sheboygan.
Funeral services will be held at 7 pm on Wednesday, June 14, 2006 at Ebenezer UCC in Sheboygan with the Rev. Dr. Roger Mealiff and Rev. Lorri Steward officiating. Burial will take place at Woodland Cemetery in Kohler.
Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 3 pm until the time of services.
