Each tree is planted through the efforts of Forestry Services throughout North America who determine where the greatest needs for reforestation are. Once planted, the geographical location where the tree is planted will be added to the record. A beautiful card is also sent to the family signifying your thoughtful gesture.

Obituary for Sr. Frances RSM

Albany-Sister Frances Mesley, RSM (Sister Mary Eileen) died Monday November 24, 2003, at Villa Mary Immaculate Nursing Home.
A Sister of Mercy for 65 years, Sister spent most of her years in education. Her teaching assignments included St. Joseph's Academy and Vincentian Grade School in Albany, St. Paul the Apostle Grade School and Catholic Central High School in Troy, as well as St. Mary's Oneonta and St. Agnes School in Cohoes. From 1983 to 1998, she served as Pastoral Associate at St. Madeleine Sophia Parish in Schenectady. In 1998 she retired and lived at 634 New Scotland Avenue until her recent illness.
The daughter of Helen and George Mesley, born in Troy, New York. Sister Frances is the niece of the late Katherine Walsh and is survived by several cousins.
Viewing hours will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday November 28, 2003 in the Convent of Mercy Chapel, 634 New Scotland Avenue, Albany. Friends and former students are welcome to attend a prayer service of remembrance in the Chapel at 7 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Death and Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday November 29, 2003, in the Chapel. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Third Ave. Ext. East Greenbush.
The Sisters of Mercy are very grateful to the staff at the Villa Mary Immaculate Nursing Home for the excellent care given to Sister during her stay.
