Obituary for Anna J. Seney

Rensselaer-Anna J. Luke Seney age 96 years of Farley Drive died Friday May 28, 2004 at Van Rensselaer Manor in North Greenbush. She was born in Troy and has lived in Rensselaer for over 50 years. Mrs. Seney was a homemaker and sales person in Infant Ware for John G. Myers Dept. Store in Albany, retiring in 1970. She was a member and first president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Rensselaer Lodge of Elks BPOE #2073 and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Watervliet Lodge of Elks BPOE 1500. Mrs. Seney was a communicant of St. Josephs Church in Rensselaer and enjoyed her flowers and taking care of her home and family. Wife of the late Alexander J. Seney Sr., mother of Charles A. Seney of Averill Park, Shirley A. Thompson of Rensselaer, Alexander J. Seney Jr. of Hampton Manor and the late Robert T. Seney. Also survived by 21 grandchildren and many great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Funeral from the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home 1700 Washington Avenue Rensselaer Tuesday morning at 9:00 and 10:00 at St. Josephs Church Third Street Rensselaer where the Liturgy of Christian Death and Burial will be offered. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Monday from 4-8 p.m. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, East Greenbush. In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory may be made to St. Josephs Church 1620 Third Street Rensselaer, NY 12144.
