Dustin Zerr Obituary

Dustin Tyler Zerr passed away on February 15, 2008, in Seattle, WA. He was born in Spokane, WA on June 4, 1980, and spent the next four years of his life in Quincy, WA, before he moved to East Wenatchee, WA, where he resided until his graduation from Eastmont High School in 1999. After High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and received an honorable discharge, which allowed him to pursue his education at Wenatchee Valley College. He then went to Seattle Central Community College and studied government and history. His last studies were at Shoreline Community College in home land security. Dustin spent the last eight years moving between the Wenatchee and Seattle areas, while he embraced the tourism industry working for Holland America Cruise Lines, The Red Lion Hotel (Wenatchee, WA) and Double Tree Suites (Seattle, WA). Dustin's intoxicating grin and joyful heart touched everyone he knew. He was loyal and trusting and would truly give the shirt off of his back to any one of his friends. He loved to dance! It wouldn't be a surprise to find Madonna, Janet Jackson, or Brittney Spears in his CD player. He always smelled good and kept up with the latest trends in fashion, shoes and hair. It made no difference if he was snowboarding, parasailing, or riding ATV's on his Aunt Joy's farm in Quincy, WA, you could always find a smile on his face. He found joy in cars, camping and fishing and on quiet nights loved 90210 and Charmed. Dustin's true passions, were his favorite Rottweilers, Glory, Zeus, Mickey, Zeus and his family. Above all else, he found solace in his mother, who made his heart smile bigger than anyone else. His favorite people in the world were his Mom, Aunt Joy, Grandma Wanda, his special friend, Andy and his two little buddies, Romero and Romell. Dustin will live on in the hearts and memories of those he touched. Dustin was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert Holden of Yakima, WA and Casper Zerr of Olympia, WA, Emmel Marchel of Wenatchee, WA and Theron Drake of Brewster, WA. He is survived by his mother, Sherry Lynn Zerr and Art Kofos of Wenatchee, WA; his father, Jerry and Judy Zerr of Wenatchee, WA; brother, Brock Zerr of Clallam Bay, WA and his fiancé, Libby Haines and her two sons, Romero and Romell of West Seattle, WA; aunt, Joy Greenwalt of Wenatchee, WA; grandparents, Wanda Larson of Quincy, WA, Mimi Zerr of Wenatchee, WA, Nelly Drake of Cashmere, WA and Pete Webber of Quincy, WA; sisters, Sherry Schneider of Moxie, WA, Jill Somers of Newman Lake, WA, and Lisa Locke of Brush Prairie, WA; special friend, Andy Zimmerman of Wenatchee, WA; and birth father, Dick Marchel of Yakima, WA; as well as many more aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and great friends.
