BEVERLY MRS. Mildred Millie Lillian (Perry) Gorini, 94, wife of the late Robert F. Gorini, died Thursday, July 30, 2009 after a brief illness. Mrs. Gorini was born June 22, 1915 in Beverly, daughter of the late Leslie H. Perry and Lillian E. (Gray) Perry. She graduated from Beverly High School in 1933. Bob and Millie were married December 14, 1940. A life-long resident of Beverly and long time active member of the First Universalist Church in Salem, MA, Millie enjoyed traveling with her husband, volunteering at the Beverly Senior Center, participating in a candlepin bowling league, knitting, ceramics, and baking for friends and family.
Mrs. Gorini is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Richard F. & Claudia Gorini of Houston, TX and daughters Karen E. Fletcher of Lynn and Robin L. Gorini of Lancaster, PA. She is also survived by her twin sister, Dorothy L. Edwards of Wenham and Edythe Brown of Lynn. She has three grandchildren: Kristen M. Armstrong of Salem, Nicholas E. Gorini of Portland, OR and Anthony P. Gorini of Vancouver, WA and three great grandchildren: Jack, Isabella, and Lucia. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Campbell Lee, Moody, Russell Funeral Home, 9 Dane St., Beverly, (Downtown Location) on Tuesday at 11 A.M. A visiting hour will be held prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial in North Beverly Cemetery.
