John P. Thistle, went home to be with his Lord on March 11, 2009. He was the beloved husband of Beatrice E. (Skane) Thistle. John was the son of the late Samuel W. and Victoria S. (Whelan) Thistle. John was the founder and president of Thistle Safe and Lock Co of Malden.
John was a loving father to Diane L. Thistle of Massachusetts; John E. Thistle and his wife Jo Anne of Georgia and Scott J. Thistle and his wife Ann Marie of Massachusetts. His much loved grandchildren are John E. Thistle and his wife Tanya of Grand Cayman; Jennifer L. Lordan of New York; Jeffrey D. Lordan of Colorado; David J. Lordan of Massachusetts; Zaine E. Thistle and Jett P. Thistle of Georgia; Samantha A. and Nicole E. Thistle of Stoneham. John also leaves two sisters, Louise McDonald of Florida and Jeanne Finnemore of New Hampshire; 2 brothers, Richard S. Thistle of Haverhill and Edward Thistle of Middleton and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Wallace A. , Lester L., William H. and S. Wesley Thistle and Elsie Clough.
Funeral Services were held on Friday afternoon at the Campbell Lee, Moody, Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot St., Beverly. Burial was in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
