SUDIA GRAY PATALANO

Sudia Gray Winstead Patalano, 90, of Norwalk and wife of Mr. Philip Vincent Patalano, passed away on Monday, March 14th in Norwalk Hospital.

Mrs. Patalano was born July 19, 1920 in Rocky Mount, N.C. and was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Fannie Whitley Winstead. Sudia Gray married Philip in July of 1944 and was a longtime resident of Westport, CT prior to moving to Norwalk in 1976. She was an avid reader, bird watcher and nature lover.

Survivors in addition to her husband of 66 years include two sons, Bruce Winstead Patalano of Wheeling W. VA. and Philip James Patalano and his wife Martha of Sao Tome + Principe, Africa, one daughter Paula Maria Patalano of Fairfield, CT., five grandchildren, Steven, Philip, and Jason Patalano and Danielle and Kyle deBouver and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Benjamin Harrison Patalano, two brothers Harrison and Glenwood Winstead, and two sisters Ruby Winstead Beasley and Madeline Winstead Kelley.
