Roy Lee King of Cuba, Missouri was born to the union of Champ L. and Anne M. (Myers) King on September 30, 1945 in St. Louis, Missouri and left from this life on Sunday, December 26, 2010 in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 65. Roy was united in marriage to Kay Murrell on November 20, 1968 in Steelville, Missouri and to this union two children were born Marsha and Timothy. Roy retired in 2008 from St. James Trucking after many years of dedicated service. He Honorably and Faithfully served his Country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed fishing on the river and spending time with his family. Roy is preceded in death by his parents Champ L. and Anne M. (Myers) King; one sister Laura Hanley. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his wife Kay King of Cuba, Missouri; two children Marsha and husband Rodney Martin of Cherryville, Missouri, Timothy and wife Rosa King of Summerville, South Carolina; six grandchildren Sarah, Amy, Stephen, Jonathon, Kaleb and Jay; one sister Mary Ann Pyle of Crystal Beach, Texas; nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and other relatives and friends. Memorial Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 5-8 p.m. at Britton Funeral Home of Cuba. Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2010 11:00 a.m. at Britton Funeral Home of Cuba. Memorials would be appreciated to the American Cancer Society. The Britton Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the King family.
