Funeral Services for Charles B. "Cotton" Davis will be held Sunday, November 29, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Prater-Lampton Mills & Coffey Chapel with burial following in the Ft. Towson Cemetery. Cotton Davis died Thursday, November 26, 2009 in Paris, OK at the age of 83. Cotton Davis was born October 20, 1926 in Oklahoma, the son of Pete H. and Hazel Lee (Kelley) Davis. Cotton lived in the Ft. Towson area most of all of his life. He married Mary Buchanan on September 7, 1946 in DeQueen, Ark. Married for 63 years. He was a rancher and a site attendant for the old chief's home site for the state of Oklahoma. Cotton was a member of the Spencerville Community Church. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Kelly, Donald, James, Sam, Ben Davis. Sisters: Ruth Scruggs, Merle Hendricks. Cotton is survived by his wife: Mary Davis of the home; one son and daughter-in-law: Charles S. and Louellen Davis of Ft. Towson, OK; two daughters and sons-in-law: Jo & Randall Miller of Ft. Towson, OK; Judy & James Blackwood of Donaldson, AR; one brother: Joe Bob Davis of Orlando, FL; one sister: Lucy Murchison of Castro Valley, CA; eight grandchildren: Lyn and Paul McDade, Leah "Leigh" & Sammy Cox, Brad Cooper, Chance Davis, Clint & Lindsey Miller, Brett & Melissa Miller, Jessica & Clark Holder, Cassidy Davis; eleven great-grandchildren; special friends: Gem Percival Davis of Hugo, OK, and Barbara Cavello & Patrick. The family will receive friends Saturday, November 28, 2009 between 5-6:00 pm in the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Chapel.
