Karen Sue (Fite) Jones of Durant, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, August 22, 2010 in Durant, Oklahoma at the age of 61 years, Karen was born on Friday, November 12,1948 in Roseburg, Oregon to Harold Leon and Betty Jean(Herron)Fite.
Mrs. Jones was a member of Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Durant, Oklahoma. Karen was a homemaker and neighborhood mom. She enjoyed crafts, dollmaking, sewing and painting.
She is survived by: husband, David Lee Jones of Durant, Oklahoma; daughter, Kesha Martin and husband Shane of Ardmore,Oklahoma; son David Leon Jones & wife Kristen of Durant, Oklahoma. Grandson Haden Coffey of Ardmore,Oklahoma. Grandaughters, Rheagan Jones and Ryleigh Jones of Durant, Oklahoma. Grandsons,Jayce Martin of Ardmore, Oklahoma and Ryder Jones of Durant, Oklahoma. Sister, Debbie Neill of Lone Grove, Oklahoma
Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by: parents, Harold Leon & Betty Jean Fite; two brothers, Jimmy Leon Fite and Michael Conway; one sister, Phyllis Fite.
Family hour will be 7-8 P.M. Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at the Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at the Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Durant, Oklahoma. Officiating the service will be Rev. Aaron Heflin and Rev. Bill Clements. Internment will follow at Newport Cemetery in Lone Grove, Oklahoma. Pallbearers are Shawn Lyday, Phillip Hightower, Trevor Pool ,Don Dillard, Cole Lambert, and Chris Neill.
