Eula Faye Lilley, died at her home in Lubbock, Texas on Wednesday, October 6, 2010.She was born Eula Faye Mattingly on Friday, November 28,1924 to her parents Arch and Nora (Thomas) Mattingly in Kenefic, Oklahoma. She was the last survivor of 13 children. She attended Old Allison Schools and later graduated from Achille High School. After graduating from Achille she attended Southeastern State College. On September 3rd,1944 she married the love of her life, Hubert J. Lilley in Durant Oklahoma. They had three children, Gary Dean, Darla Jean, and Shirlene. She worked at Southeastern Electric Co-Op as a billing clerk from 1966 until her retirement. Faye lived a full life as a devoted wife and loving mother. A member of Calvary Baptist Church, she was a dedicated Christian woman teaching Sunday School classes, singing in the choir, and active in the Outreach Ministry's. A blessing to many, she was a gracious and giving role model. She had many friends whose lives she touched and felt touched by theirs as well. She was preceded in death by her parents Arch and Nora Mattingly, all 12 siblings, husband Hubert in 1997, and son Gary in 1976. She is survived by both Daughters, Darla Edgmon and husband Ron of Norman, Okla. and Shirlene Hughes and husband Mark of Lubbock, Texas. Grandsons, Kevin Edgmon and his wife Tina of Yukon, Oklahoma, Ryan Edgmon and his wife Melissa of Mustang, Oklahoma, Bryan Hughes of Flint, Michigan and Granddaughter Kali Faye Hughes of Lubbock, Texas. Three Great Grandsons, Hayden Edgmon of Norman and Jacob and Peyton Edgmon of Yukon. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday October 9, 2010 at the Calvary Baptist Church in Durant with the Rev Robert Griffin officiating. Internment will follow at the Highland Cemetery in Durant, Oklahoma. Serving as pallbearers will be Floyd Lilley, Kevin Edgmon, Ryan Edgmon, Bryan Hughes, Roy Boatner, Steve Boatner, Curtiss Boone and David Washer, Hononary pallbearers will be Larry and Brett Lilley. Family Hour will be Friday October 8, 2010 from 6-7 p.m. at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral home. Family and friends may send online condolences & view tributes at www.coffeymurray.com.
