Catherine E. Koch

Catherine E. Koch, 77, of Freehold Township passed away on Friday, April 22, 2011 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. Catherine was born and raised in Staten Island and had lived in Howell before moving to Freehold Township in 2000. She was a waitress at Vans in Freehold and at Olde Silver Tavern, Manalapan for over 27 years. Catherine was a parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Freehold, a member of the B.P.O. Elks #233 in Red Bank as well as the Lakewood Elks; and she was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Englishtown Post 434. She led a life well lived. Catherine was predeceased by her husband, Bernard F. Koch in 1984. She is survived by three daughters, Elizabeth Koch-Lichter and her husband, Fred, of Las Vegas, NV, Rita Brandeisky and her husband, Dr. John, of Farmingdale, and Trish Saliba and her husband, Paul, of Howell; four grandchildren, Kevin, Jessica, Ryan and Kristopher; one brother, John Armstrong of Hanesville, WA; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Visiting at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township, on Monday, April 25, 2011 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at 10:00 AM at St. Rose of Lima Church, McLean Street, Freehold. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Catherine’s memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
