Mary Jean Sturgill, 66, Clarksville, died Thursday, December 25, 2008, at her home. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Chapel. Burial will be in Fort Donelson National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and from 12 Noon to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She was born April 27, 1942 in Jackhorn, KY, the daughter of Earl Johnson and Callie Katherine Dishman Johnson. She was preceded in death by her husband, CSM Martin Tase Sturgill, on December 11, 1983. She was a member of First Baptist Church and was retired from the Eli-Lilly Pharmaceutical Company. Survivors include her son, Martin Tase (Debbie) Sturgill II, of Burns, TN and her daughter Katherine Lindsay Sturgill Doron of Clarksville, TN, brother Stoney Johnson , Dothan, AL, sisters Faye Porath, Swartz Creek, MI, Hallie Tong & Jolene Kelley, both of Winterhaven, FL, and Tina Pascoe of Washington, MI, grandchildren Nathan Bryson, William Young, Kaitlin Doron, Jillian Bryson, Sydney Bryson, Braden Bryson, Brianna Bryson, and her best friend of 33 years, Sharon Haddox.
