Each tree is planted through the efforts of Forestry Services throughout North America who determine where the greatest needs for reforestation are. Once planted, the geographical location where the tree is planted will be added to the record. A beautiful card is also sent to the family signifying your thoughtful gesture.

Obituary for Helen Berkach

BERKACH " Helen March 2, 1937 " September 1, 2008 We are announcing with sadness and sorrow the passing of Helen Berkach on Monday, September 1, 2008 at the Herb Bassett Home. She was born March 2, 1937 to Mike and the late Julia Berkach formerly of the Kalyna District. After leaving home at the age of 40, she lived at North Park Centre and several group homes and care giver homes. The longest time was 18 years with Eric and Donna Bohmann. She loved attending masses with her mother and father, later with George and Wanda. She worked at the Kinsmen Workshop for a long time where she made many friends. She enjoyed the Herb Bassett Home for the last four years of her life, the staff showed lots of love and care. She is survived by her father Micheal Berkach; sister Wanda (George) Bzdell; two nephews Ken (Val) Berkach of Prince Albert & Ben Berkach of Saskatoon; 1 great nephew Terin; 2 great nieces Tanisha & Darby-Lynne, numerous cousins in Canada and Poland; 3 aunts and extended families. She was predeceased by her mother Julia Berkach in 1987 and her brother Alex Berkach in 2002. May God Bless everyone who knew her and shared in her life. Private Family Service at the Sacred Heart Cathedral, with celebrant Reverend Father Maurice Fiolleau. Interment will be held at South Hill Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Gray’s Funeral Chapel, Drew Gray, Funeral Director.
