Carl E. Symonds, 88 of Van Buren, passed this life on Monday, July 25, 2011 in Van Buren. He was retired from Dixie Cup working for 28 years. He was a Mason, a Disabled Veterans Association, a farmer and a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Martha (Mulkey) Symonds and brothers, Victor and Milburne Symonds. He is survived by his wife of 69 years in September, Pansy Sallee Symonds; two daughters, Hope Parrish of Van Buren and Martha Symonds and husband, John of Wister, OK; three sons, Jessie Symonds and wife, Sandra, Johnie Sumonds and wife Pat, David Symonds and wife, Suzanna all of Van Buren; sixteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren; and one sister, Mary Friday of Van Buren. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, D.R. Symonds, J.C. Symonds, Spence Oliver, Joe Parrish, Austin Symonds and David Robison.
