Roy Harold Rounseville, 87, of Vero Beach FL, beloved husband of Marrion Rounseville, passed away peacefully on Saturday (September 6, 2008). Roy was born May 10, 1921 in Quincy MA, the son of Harold and Mary Rounseville. He graduated from Quincy High School in 1938 and went on to attend Boston University. He moved to Hartford, CT in 1949 and founded the M&R Liquor Stores in 1954. He was a member of the Wine and Spirits Guild of America and a Past President of the Rotary Club in Simsbury, CT as well as a past member of the Rotary Club in Stuart, FL. He retired to Stuart in 1983 and lived at Mariner Sands before moving to Indian River Estates of Vero Beach. Roy lived a most colorful and eventful life and he will be eternally remembered and deeply missed by Marrion, his wife of 59 years, his beloved children, son Gary Rounseville, of Glastonbury, CT, son and daughter in law, Neal and Monique Rounseville, of Simsbury, CT, daughter and son-in-law Gail and Danton Nason of Overland Park, KS, daughter Ann Goodwin of Hampton, VA, his many grandchildren, extended family and many, many friends. Roy had a zest for life and lived life to its fullest. He will always be remembered for his quick wit, sense of humor and his ability to tell a good joke. We will miss him dearly, and he will forever be in our hearts. There are no calling hours. A memorial celebration of his life will be held 4 PM, Saturday, September 13, 2008 at Indian River Estates in Vero Beach. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Martin County (www.bgcmcfl.org).
