Virginia “Ginger” Elias died peacefully August 18, 2011 at home surrounded by family and friends after a courageous and graceful struggle with cancer. Preceded in death by mother and father, Ellen and Ray Biermeier. Survived by loving and devoted husband of 44 years, Fred Elias, daughter, Susan Elias, son, David Elias (Aly) and sisters, Lois Savoy (Tim), Janet Maher (Bill), and Joan Schmeckpeper (Stan) and many special cousins and friends. Ginger was a graduate of the University of Minnesota and a long time employee at Guidant. Special thanks to Dr. Cathrine Casey and the wonderful staff at MOHPA and Heartland Home Hospice.
