Conner, Nicholas Christopher "Nicky", 16 of Northfield, was suddenly taken from us on August 20, 2011. Nicky was born on June 1, 1995 at Shore Memorial Hospital in Somers Point. Nicky took pride both on and off the field. He was an all-star football player and an all-star person. He had a huge heart and soul. He loved all types of music, and expressing himself through writing lyrics and poems. He always looked out for his family and friends. He truly was a role model to both kids and adults. Nicky will never be forgotten by all his family, friends and community. He was currently employed at Three Brothers from Italy Pizza on the Ocean City boardwalk. Nicky is survived by his loving mother and father, Cristina Barrella Meoli and Antonio Meoli of Northfield. Also, Chris Conner and the Conner family; and his loving little sister, Gianna Victoria Meoli; He was the beloved "Nicky Boy" of maternal grandparents, Kenny and Kathy Cerino of Northfield. He is also survived by his "Mom Mom" Mary Meoli of Philadelphia; uncles Massimo Barrella, Jr. and Vince Barrella of Northfield. Nicky is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins who loved him dearly; his special friend/cousin Giovanni Devaney; as well as Joey, Kyle, Alex, and Dean; and his girlfriend, Vincentina. Nicky loved and admired his coaches. He considered his teammates his brothers. Nicky was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Massimo Barrella, Sr; and paternal grandparents Jean Conner and Alexander Meoli. A visitation for relatives and friends will be held on Friday, August 26, 2011 from 10:00am until 1:00pm at ST. GIANNA BERETTA MOLLA PARISH/CHURCH OF ST. BERNADETTE, 1421 New Road, Northfield. A service will follow at 1:00pm. Entombment will be held privately at Holy Cross Cemetery, Mays Landing.
