Betty G. Moore 1925-2011 Platte City, Missouri- Betty Gayle Moore, 86, Platte City formerly of Cameron, Missouri passed away on September 5, 2011. Betty was born on April 26, 1925 in Osborn, Missouri to Claire and Laura (Schaefer) Billings. She was a 1943 graduate of Cameron High School. Betty was a member of the Cameron United Methodist Church, Tri Arts and Beta Sigma Phi. Betty married Norman Moore on April 4, 1946 in Atchison, Kansas. They owned and operated Montgomery Ward Catalog Store in Cameron. She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Norman Moore; brother, Buster Billings; sister, Gladys Bratton; beloved niece, Pat Riche. Survivors: 2 sons, Stephen Moore, Dallas, TX, Kent and wife, Kay Moore, Kansas City, MO; 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; Betty’s devoted niece, Beverly Jones, Independence, MO, Norman’s nieces and nephews, Mitch Elliott, Lynn Elliott, Douglas Moore and Laurie Moore. Services: 11:00 AM, Friday, September 9, 2011 at Poland-Thompson Chapel, Cameron. Visitation: 10-11:00 AM, prior to the service. Burial: Cameron Memory Gardens, Cameron.
