Born October 5, 1920 in Butler NJ, he was preceded in death by his parents Leslie and Mary Weeden, his first wife Helen F. Weeden, his wife of 48 years Doris E. Weeden, and his sister Relda Preuss. He is survived by his four children John Watson (Shelly) of Medina, Wendy Devine (John) of Centerville, Patty Bloeser (Jeff) of Atlanta, GA, and Lance Weeden (Cathie), of Charlotte, NC, ten grandchildren Andy Watson (Aimee), Tim Watson (Katie), Ken Devine (Erin), Chris Devine (Laura), Ben Devine, Ryan Devine, Meghan Devine, Liz Bloeser, Chad Weeden, and Kelsey Weeden, and four great grandchildren Mayna Watson, Lauren and Luke Watson, and August Devine. Ken will always be remembered as a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend and served as a magnificent role model to all. He inspired family and friends with his honesty and integrity and entertained everyone with his never-ending humor and wit. As a Captain in the US Marine Corps, he served his country proudly and honorably, earning both the Purple Heart and Bronze Star for his heroic acts on Iwo Jima during World War II. A graduate of Akron Buchtel High School and Kent State University, Ken had a productive career as a sales manager with The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company for 40 years, following it with many enjoyable years of retirement. The family would like to express their gratitude to all the employees of The Sterling House of Washington Township, his home for the past six and a half years. They provided exceptional care, compassion, and love for both him and his wife Doris by offering heartfelt friendship and serving as their extended family. Thanks also go to Hospice of Dayton, whose dedicated service and gracious, caring efforts allowed Ken to spend his final days in peace and comfort. Memorial contributions may be made in Ken's name to Hospice of Dayton (hospiceofdayton.com). A private graveside service will be held in his memory at Crown Hill Cemetery in Twinsburg.
