INDIAN TRAIL – Jerry Michael Blanchard, 51, went to be with the Lord suddenly on October 1, 2011. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 7, 2011 in the chapel of First Baptist Church Indian Trail. Interment will follow in Pleasant Plains Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 6525 Old Monroe Road, Indian Trail. Mr. Blanchard was born March 24, 1960 in Union County and was a graduate of Sun Valley High School. Jerry received a Bachelor’s Degree from Wingate University, where he served on the Board of Trustees and was also a graduate of UNC-Charlotte. He was a former partner with Bullard, Blanchard and Johns, PLLC and was presently employed as the controller with Sun Life Roof Systems. He attended First Baptist Church Indian Trail. Jerry is survived by his daughters, Sarah Blanchard of Matthews and Rebecca “Becca” Blanchard of Indian Trail; father, Jerry Blanchard and wife, Dale of Indian Trail; mother, Pat Birge and husband, Leroy of Indian Trail; sister, Karen Williams and husband, Lindy of Indian Trail; and step-brother, Brent Ruple of Marshville.
