ROBERT G. “BOB” MAULDIN
Robert G. “Bob” Mauldin, age 75 of
Palatka, passed away, Saturday, March 27, 2010 at Putnam Community
Medical Center following an extended illness. A native of Ashville,
NC, he had resided in Palatka since 1959 coming from Biltmore, NC.
Bob had served in the U.S. Navy and retired as a supervisor with
Central States Diversified following 40 years of service. He was an
avid golfer and a former member of the Palatka Men’s Golf
Association and enjoyed woodworking and gardening. Bob was a
member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his
wife of 50 years, Jeanine Mauldin, 2 sons, Robert G. “Bobby”
Mauldin, Jr. and wife, Karen of Palatka and Randy Mauldin and wife
Laurie of Franklin, TN, a brother, Richard Mauldin of Weaverville,
NC, 4 grandchildren, Tara Keith and husband, Derek, Trace Mauldin,
Karli Mauldin and Ross Mauldin, 3 great-grandchildren, Landon Keith,
Laysie Keith and Jessica Keith.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, March 30, 2010 at
Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka with Reverend Gene Maddox
officiating. Burial will follow at Palatka Memorial Gardens with
the U.S. Navy conducting military honors. Visitation will be
Tuesday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
