Obituary for Robert G. “bob” MAULDIN

ROBERT G. “BOB” MAULDIN Robert G. “Bob” Mauldin, age 75 of Palatka, passed away, Saturday, March 27, 2010 at Putnam Community Medical Center following an extended illness. A native of Ashville, NC, he had resided in Palatka since 1959 coming from Biltmore, NC. Bob had served in the U.S. Navy and retired as a supervisor with Central States Diversified following 40 years of service. He was an avid golfer and a former member of the Palatka Men’s Golf Association and enjoyed woodworking and gardening. Bob was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jeanine Mauldin, 2 sons, Robert G. “Bobby” Mauldin, Jr. and wife, Karen of Palatka and Randy Mauldin and wife Laurie of Franklin, TN, a brother, Richard Mauldin of Weaverville, NC, 4 grandchildren, Tara Keith and husband, Derek, Trace Mauldin, Karli Mauldin and Ross Mauldin, 3 great-grandchildren, Landon Keith, Laysie Keith and Jessica Keith. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, March 30, 2010 at Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka with Reverend Gene Maddox officiating. Burial will follow at Palatka Memorial Gardens with the U.S. Navy conducting military honors. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
