HERKIMER-Mrs. Alberta M. "Bert" (Anderson) Foley, 78, of Dickie Avenue, Herkimer, beloved wife of the late John K. Foley, passed away on May 8, 2011 in the comfort of her home.
She was born on March 4, 1933, in Ephratah, daughter of the late Benjamin Elmer and Myrtle (Spoar) Anderson. On January 21, 1983 she was united in marriage with John K. Foley at the St. John's Reformed Church in St. Johnsville.
Bert was an avid golfer and bowler. She was involved in many activities at the Herkimer Reformed Church and at one time served as the Church Secretary. She was also the Treasurer of the Herkimer Seniors and Secretary for St. John's Reformed Church in St. Johnsville.
Survivors include her daughter Alice Hammond and her husband Robert of Stone Arabia; her brothers Gerald Anderson of Little Falls and Richard Anderson and his wife Rae of Florida; her sister Lila Moshier and her friend George Holland of Little Falls; her 5 grandchildren: Jesse Anderson, Arianna Anderson, Keith Conrad, Kyle Conrad and Chad Conrad; her 6 great grandchildren; her daughter in law Crissy Anderson and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her son Stanley, her sister Helen Miller, her half brother Calvin Anderson and her half sisters June Murphy and Vivian Hill.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 from 5-8pm at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 W. Monroe St., Little Falls. A religious service will be held Thursday May 12, 2011 at 11am at the Herkimer Reformed Church. Procession will follow to Ephratah Cemetery where she will be laid to rest.
