Each tree is planted through the efforts of Forestry Services throughout North America who determine where the greatest needs for reforestation are. Once planted, the geographical location where the tree is planted will be added to the record. A beautiful card is also sent to the family signifying your thoughtful gesture.

VANCE, John Douglas
In his 77th year, surrounded by his family passed away at North York General Hospital on June 16, 2005. Beloved husband and best friend to his wife of 51 years, Agnes. Devoted Dad to Greg and June Vance, Kathy and Riccardo Marzin and Patricia and Al Jenkins. Lovable, huggable Grandpa to Kyle, Bridget, Sherilyn, Samantha, Megan, Matthew and Dylan. Dear brother to Vera and John Hardiman of Cleveland, Ohio and Allan and Audrey Smith of Point Claire, Quebec. John was a wonderful man who was loved and respected and left a lasting impression on all who met him. He will be sadly missed. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East), from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Sunday, June 19. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Monday, June 20, 2005 at 11 oclock. Interment Pleasant Cemetery with reception to follow. If desired, donations to The Freeman Centre for Palliative Care, c/o North York General Hospital, 4001 Leslie Street, Toronto, Ontario M2K 1E1, would be greatly appreciated by the family.
