Rick Zirolo, 59, of Cedar Grove, passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2011. Funeral Services will be on Monday at 9:15 AM from Shook’s Cedar Grove Funeral Home, 486 Pompton Ave. (Rt. 23), Cedar Grove. Funeral Mass 10 AM at Our Lady of the Holy Angels RC Church in Little Falls. Entombment at Glendale Cemetery in Bloomfield. Visiting hours will be Sunday 3 to 8 PM in the funeral home. Memories and condolences can be shared at www.shookscedargrove.com Rick was born in Paterson, lived in Hawthorne and settled in Cedar Grove 17 years ago. He was a police officer for the City of Paterson, retiring in 2010. Rick was a member of the Paterson PBA Local #1, a member of the Italian American Police Officer’s Association and the Honor Legion. In his spare time, Rick love going to his sons’ football games and cheering the team on. He always was their biggest fan. Pre-deceased by his parents Almondo and Gloria Zirolo. Beloved husband of 15 years to Dawn Zirolo (Fiorentino). Devoted father to Michael Zirolo and Nicholas Zirolo. Loving son in-law of Nick and Marianne Fiorentino. Dear brother in-law of Nicky Fiorentino and his fiance Mika. Special uncle of Matthew, Anthony, and Dominick. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles,cousins, extended relatives and friends.
