Cynthia Ann (Schier) Smith, 53, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away Sunday, January 15, 2012 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born November 4, 1958 in Indianapolis to Jack H. and Judy (Martin) Schier. She married Robert E. (Bob) Smith on June 17, 2005 in Indianapolis; he survives. She was a 1977 graduate of Greenwood Community High School in Greenwood, Indiana. She and her husband were previous owners of C & B Racing. She was an active environmentalist and an avid dog lover. She was general manager of Newco Metals in Pendleton, Indiana. Survivors include her husband Robert E. (Bob) Smith of Indianapolis; parents Jack H. and Judy A. (Martin) Schier of Greenwood; sister Marci L. Bennett (Shell) of Greenwood; brothers Mark H. Schier (Valarie), Eric L. Schier (Beth), and Kurt A. Schier (Jennifer), all of Greenwood; brother-in-law Greg Smith (Rhonda) of Nashville, Tennessee; stepdaughter Jenifer Blevins and step-granddaughter Elizabeth Catherine Blevins of Indianapolis; ten nieces and nephews; and six great- nieces and nephews. The Reverend Marion Glover will conduct a service Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at 7 P.M. at Emmanuel Church of Greenwood, 1640 West Stones Crossing Road in Greenwood, Indiana. Friends may call Wednesday from 4:30 P.M. until service time at the church. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery in Anderson, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Outrun The Sun, Inc.
