Obituary for Mr. Richard John MANDULA

Mr. Richard John Mandula, age 37 years, passed away peacefully at his residence following a courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, February 9, 2005 with his family by his side. Richard was born on November 11, 1967 and raised in Thunder Bay. He was a long time employee of Great West Timber. He loved Nascar racing, fishing, camping and outdoor activities. He had a passion for painting, anything from cars to murals. He loved to spend time with his children and family. Richard had a beautiful smile and a knack to make others smile, even when they felt there was nothing to smile about. Richard was a happy, caring person who loved life and he will be sadly missed by his daughter Jessie, son Trever, his fianc Kelly, stepson Zachary, sister Lorraine (Sav) Miele, brothers: John (Neewee) and Gary (Audrey), nieces and nephews: Joseph, Kathy, Michael, Shawn and Scott. Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins also survive.He was predeceased by his parents John and Lena Mandula and sister Tracy. Funeral Services for Richard will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, February 14, 2005 in the EVEREST FUNERAL CHAPEL, 299 Waverley Street at Algoma with Fr. James Panikulam officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery. A Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. with Vigil Prayers being offered at 7:00 P.M. in the chapel. If friends so desire memorial donations to the Northern Cancer Research Foundation would be greatly appreciated. To all the people who knew Richard, You know he was a very special person. We will always love him and miss him.
