Mrs. Elsie England

Beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Mrs. Elsie Harriet England age 87 years passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Thursday, November 26, 2009 at St. Joseph's Hospice. Elsie was born March 20, 1922 on Paquette Road in McIntyre Township, daughter of Arthur and Mabel Paquette. Elsie is survived by sons Craig England (Robbie), and Brian England (Jean); daughter Carol Freeman (John); 8 grandchildren Kirsti (Richard), Brian (Jo-Anne), Karen, Kim (Bryan), Christopher, Bradley (Cathy), Charlene (Brian), and Jennifer; 10 great grandchildren Brittany, Danielle, Jessie, Nikolas, Andrew, Shane, Ricki, Tyler, Joshua and Jordan. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Elsie was predeceased by her husband Alfred in 2001, and parents Arthur and Mabel Paquette; two sisters Olive England (Eric) and Rita Walter (Bill) and three brothers Arthur Paquette (Pearl), George Paquette and Raymond Paquette. Elsie was a lifelong resident of McIntyre. She was a founding member of the North McIntyre Recreation Centre. Elsie was devoted not only to her family but to any child who came in our driveway to swim in the river pool or later in the inground swimming pool which she enjoyed so much. Her true passion in life was her love for children and the joy she got from them. At the request of Elsie, cremation has taken place and a private family interment will take place at a later date in Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to benefit children, or the Humane Society. EVEREST FUNERAL CHAPEL, 299 Waverley St. at Algoma in care of arrangements.
