Aldie Mincey, Jr. was born in Metter Georgia, Candler County, on March

28, 1935 to his parents, Aldie Ruben and Gertrude Mincey, Sr.


He confessed Christ at the early age of ten years old and was baptized at First Baptist Church in Metter, Georgia.


He attended schools in Metter, Georgia and received his education at Dixon Grove Elementary School and Byrd Junior High School.


He joined the U.S. Army on January 31, 1956 and received an Honorable Discharge from Active duty on February 2, 1959. His served in the Korean War and received a Purple Heart. He was owner and operator of Mincey Trucking and Bus Service Company in Jacksonville, Florida for many years.


He met and married the late Annie Lou Mincey in Georgia on March 6, 1956. From this union was born six children, five sons and one daughter: Barry M. Mincey, Aldo Ray Mincey, Connie J. Mincey, Dexter D. Mincey, Myrtle A. Mincey, and Thedorick L. Mincey.


He later married Tewanna Mincey and helped raise her youngest son, Mark Owens.


He departed this life on April 2, 2012 and was preceded in death by his father and mother, Aldie Ruben and Gertrude Mincey, Sr.; two brothers, A.G. Mincey and Ray Mincey; and two sisters, Minnie Lee Mincey-Hobbs and Veronica Mincey-Fritz. He leaves to mourn his passing: His devoted wife, Tewanna Mincey; his five sons, Barry M. Mincey, Aldo R. Mincey (DeBora), Connie J. Mincey (Michelle), Dexter D. Mincey, Myrtle A. Mincey, and Thedorick L. Mincey (Michelle); his wife’s four children, James Graham, Jr., Leutisha Jackson, Mark Owens, and Robin Goggins; two sisters, Mamie Mincey and Jackerlyn Mincey; twenty-eight grandchildren; six great-grand children; four brothers, L.D. Mincey, Willie Tony Mincey, Burton Mincey, and Sammie Mincey; one aunt, Maggie Mercer; many nieces and nephews; special acknowledgment to Arthur J. Mincey, nephew; childhood friend, Curtis Ellis; and a host of other relatives and many sorrowing friends
