Each tree is planted through the efforts of Forestry Services throughout North America who determine where the greatest needs for reforestation are. Once planted, the geographical location where the tree is planted will be added to the record. A beautiful card is also sent to the family signifying your thoughtful gesture.

Obituary for Ruth Edna Robinson

Blacksburg -- Ruth Evans Robinson, 81, of 1203 Holly Ridge Road, passed away Friday, May 18th, 2012, at her residence. Born in Shelby, Mrs. Robinson was the widow of Charlie Quinn Robinson and the daughter of the late James Robert and Minnie Christine Church Evans. Mrs. Robinson worked as a homemaker and was a member of Rose Hill Baptist Church. Mrs. Robinson is survived by two sons, Charles Robert Robinson of Grover and Roy Dean Robinson of Pendleton; two daughters, Linda Robinson Bishop of Roebuck and Patsy Robinson Martin of Blacksburg; three brothers, James Evans of Blacksburg, Bobby Evans of Blacksburg, and Lewis Evans of Pauline; fourteen grandchildren and forty-two great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Saturday, May 19th, 2012, from 6:00pm - 7:30pm at Gordon Mortuary. Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 20th, at 2:00pm at Rose Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Ray Martin and Rev. John Barnhardt officiating. Interment will follow at Grover Cemetery. Adam Robinson, Jeff Morelock, Tim Morelock, Brian Martin, Todd Martin, Brian Bell, and Jason Burchill. Memorials may be made to Hospice Care of South Carolina, 1612 North Limestone Street, Gaffney, SC 29340. The family will be at the residence.
