Funeral services for Velma Joyce Rodriguez, 49 will be held at 2 p.m Sunday, March 4, 2007 in Blair - Stubbs Chapel with Rev. Bennie Fox and Minister Torren Gandy Officiating. Visitation with the family will be 6 - 8 p.m. Saturday and from noon on Sunday until service time at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Rodriquez was born December 13, 1957 in Ft. Worth and passed away on March 1, 2007 in Parkview Regional Hospital, Mexia. Her parents were Elvin Gus and Joyce Ellen Buchanan Kuykendall. She was a homemaker and a resident of Arley, Alabama. Survivors are her husband, Joseph Rodriguez of Arley, Alabama; daughter, Brandi DeAnne Thrash, of Streetman, 2 sons, John Christopher Thrash of Arley, Alabama and Elvin Eslie Thrash of Parrish, Alabama, 4 grandchildren, Triston Isaiah Ogaz, Selicity Anne Thrash, Justin Nathan Thrash and Steven Brady Thrash, and five brothers and sisters.
