Obituary for Janet K Paulin

Janet Allen Paulin, 85, of Burgettstown (Paris), died Saturday, June 23, 2012. She was born March 18, 1927, in Weirton, W.Va., the daughter of Harold C. and Geraldine Kingston Allen. Mrs. Paulin was retired from Burgettstown School District where she worked in food service and as a community special needs committee person. An accomplished seamstress, she made numerous costumes for the annual high school musicals and loved making Halloween costumes for her children and grandchildren. She was also a former member of the Weirton Heights and Hanover Township fire department auxiliaries. She will always be remembered as a funny and loving person who accepted people as they are and was always willing to share what she knew and what she had. Janet is survived by her husband of 64 years, Gerald A. Paulin; son Randall (Carol) Paulin, daughters Lynn (Jim) Boling and Dawn (Chris) Kramer, all of Hanover Township; six grandchildren, Jamie and Ryan Boling, Stacy (Jeff) Williams, Erica (Shannon) Almason and Kathryn and Andrew Kramer; a great-grandson, Brandon Williams; sister Patricia Carpenter of Glens Falls, NY; and a brother, Dean Allen of Weirton, W.Va. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Genevieve Johnson, Betty Baker and Lila Walters. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until time of service at 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, at Taucher Funeral Home, 23 Erie Mine Rd., Burgettstown.
