Dorothy L. "Dort" Shuey, 80, of the Curtin Narrows passed away on Monday, July 9, 2012 at Mount Nittany Medical Center. She was born April 24, 1932 in Howard a daughter of the late Fred W. and Cora Louise Gallagher Lucas. On June 30, 1961 she married William L. Shuey, who preceded her in death on January 17, 1988. "Dort" was a member of the Milesburg Presbyterian Church. She also was a member of the auxillary at the C.H.&L Fire Company in Milesurg. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and was an exceptional baker and cook. She is survived by two sons; David W. (Stephanie) Shuey of Bellefonte and Jeffrey L. Shuey of rural Bellefonte.; two sisters; Beverly Cleaver of rural Howard and Norma A. Lucas of rural Howard.; five brothers; Malvine C. Lucas of Howard, Russell Edward Lucas, J. Rich Lucas, Vincent E. Lucas all of rural Howard and Kenneth R. Lucas of Milesburg.; four grandchildren; Megan L. Shuey of Danville, Pa., Curtis L Shuey of Bellefonte, Jordan W. Voyzey and Jarrett T. Voyzey of Bellefonte. She is also survived by her special nephews; Ronnie Barndt, Brad Barndt and Fred Schlegel. Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two brothers; Donald W. Lucas and Fred L. "Junie" Lucas, and three sisters; Mary L. Schlegel, Phyllis I. Barndt and L. Catherine Lucas. Services will be held at the Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home, 201 Spring St., Milesburg, Pa. on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. with Rev. Stephen Hicks and Pastor Barbara Mosch officiating. Friends will at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 from 6 PM til 8 PM. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Boggs Twp., Centre Co, Pa. Memorial contributions may be made to the Dean K.
