Obituary for Dolphus Jack Brown

DOLPHUS JACK BROWN Funeral services for Dolphus Jack Brown, 70, of LaRue are scheduled for 2:30 P.M. Saturday in Carroll-Lehr Funeral Chapel. Mr. Brown died Sunday July 8, 2012 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born December 12, 1941 in Shallowater(Lubbock County) to the late Dolphus Johnson and Berdie Lee McAulley Brown. Jack was a resident of Texas living in numerous places. He was a Methodist. Jack was owner of Vantex Services, EZ Trakr Systems, and he loved to sail and play bridge. He was a loving husband and father, and it was very important to him to instill values in his children so they could walk tall and be proud. He was a very generous man in giving of himself, his time, as well as monetarily. He is preceded in death by his parents. Survived by wife, Elaine Brown, LaRue, sons, Dolphus Justin Brown, San Antonio, Simon Russell Elliott, Alistair Mark Stott Elliott, daughter, Samatha Kate Elliott, all of Austin, nine wonderful grandchildren. Family will receive friends Friday 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
