Agnes Koller Bassford, 86, of Salisbury, died Sunday, December 4, 2011 at her residence. Born in Hughesville, MD, she was the daughter of the late Wenzel and Mary Koller. She was a former member of St. Mary's of Piscataway prior to moving to Salisbury in 2003 and becoming a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. She worked for 32 years for the Anacostia Bank and the National Bank of Washington, retiring in 1977. For the past 8 years, she received tender loving care at the Village of Harbor Pointe. She is survived by a son, Stephen Bassford & his wife, Marilyn, of Salisbury; a grandson, Scott Bassford & his wife, Lisa Lantz, of Decorah, IA; and a great grandson, Van Bassford of Decorah, IA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Robert Henry Bassford and 7 siblings. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, December 9, 2011 at 10:30 am at Our Lady's Chapel, St. Mary's of Piscataway, 13401 Piscataway Road, Clinton, MD with a burial immediately following at the church cemetery. Father Timothy Baer will officiate. There will be a visitation on Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury.
