Mary E. (McConnon) Peters, 90 DRACUT- Mary E. (McConnon) Peters, 90, loving wife, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, Great-great grandmother, and aunt died July 24, 2012 at Willow Manor, Long Care Facility in Lowell. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on January 1, 1922. She was the daughter of the late Mary (Spizio) and Patrick McConnon and also the wife of the late Alexander Peters Sr. She lived with her son, John and his wife Doris Peters, until failing health made it necessary for long term care. She worked many years with her husband in their family business of Peters’ Furniture and Appliance Center in Lowell. She also enjoyed working with her son Al and his wife Denise Peters at their store, Alden’s Discount in Dracut. Prior to her failing health she loved to shop, go out on weekly lunches and drives with her daughter Pat Mote, family visits, going out to eat celebrating occasions and Bingo. In addition to her children who all live in Dracut, she is survived by her brother George McConnon of Brunswick, Maine. Her 10 grandchildren: John Jr. and his wife Hillary Peters, Christine (Peters) Eddy and her husband Bob, Brian Lussier and his wife Kari, Eric Lussier and his wife MaryBeth, Randy Lussier and his wife Sara, Ron and his wife Julie Mote, Rhonda and her husband Kenneth Wojtas; all of Dracut; Laura Mote-Jones and Louie of Texas, Michael and his wife Teresa Mote of Derry, NH, and Noel and his wife Lisa Mote of New Mexico; 16 great-grand children and three great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews from the Peters’ and McConnon families; as well as many dear friends. She was the sister of the late Marion (McConnon) Gomez and John McConnon. Mary’s family wish to express a sincere thank you to the Willow Manor Nursing Home, staff and Life Choice Hospice for their excellent care and thoughtfulness meeting the care and comfort for Mary. ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at DRACUT FUNERAL HOME 2159 Lakeview Avenue, Dracut on Thursday, July 26th from 4 until 8 PM. Her Funeral will be held from the Funeral Home on Friday, July 27th at 7:45 AM followed by her Funeral Mass at 9 AM in St. Francis Church, Dracut. Interment to follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Lowell.
