Age 47, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 22, 2008. He was born on February 14, 1961 in Carson City the son of Lyle and Mary (Kirkham) Blemaster. Dan worked for General Motors for 28 years and was a member of the U.A.W. #602. He was a family man who loved spending time with his family and his grandchildren, and going to his children's sporting events. He loved hunting, golfing, fishing, and was an avid U of M fan. He was preceded in death by his father, Lyle Blemaster. Surviving are his wife Susan; children, Julia (Dennis Crowley) Blemaster, Kara (Joe) Spenski, Daniel Blemaster, and Stacy Blemaster; granddaughters, Lilliana, Madilyn, and Elizabeth; grandson, Brenden; and one grandchild on the way; mother, Mary (Max) Slagel; brother, James (Dawn) Blemaster; mother-in-law, Rosemary Simon; several brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and friends. The Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 25, 2008 at the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Home, 210 E. Bridge Street, Portland with interment following at Portland Cemetery.
