<p>Shirley E. Wilson</p><p>HOULTON - Shirley E. Wilson, 86, went to be with her Lord on the morning of Sept. 1, 2012, surrounded by her family. Shirley was born Dec. 1, 1925, in Farmington, Nova Scotia, to Clarence and Bessie (Bezanson) Veno. After receiving her degree in nursing, Shirley married the love of her life, Dr. G. Ivan Wilson. Ivan and Shirley were married Aug. 30, 1952, in Temple, Texas. Ivan and Shirley moved to Maine in 1955, settling in Houlton in 1957. Shirley is survived by her son, David and wife, Cathy; and daughter, Linda Callnan and husband, Roger. Shirley is also survived by five grandchildren, Katie Wright and husband, Sam, Christy Salidzik and husband, Omer, Annie Wilson and fiance, Ron Milley, Ryan Callnan and fiancee, Jami Suitter, and Libby Wilson; three stepgrandchildren, Sharif, Ashir and Malik Abouleish; two great-granddaughters, Camille Callnan and Ellie Wright; and future great-stepgranddaughter, Tatum Milley, all of whom she dearly loved and cherished. Shirley is also survived by sisters, Margurite Scott, Mary Smith and Virginia Ward. Shirley was predeceased by her husband, Dr. G Ivan Wilson; their son, Michael; sisters, Murial Pike, Viola Whall, Alice Gray, Beatrice Bligh; and brothers, Corey Veno, Robert Veno, Lincoln Veno and Lester Veno. A family graveside service will be held Sept. 22 at Evergreen Cemetery. The family will be holding a gathering after the service at 1 p.m. at Linda and Roger's house for those who wish to join the family in a celebration of Shirley's life.
