Mary Jane Cronin(nee McMillan), 70, of Mays Landing on Saturday, September 29, 2012. Born in Jersey City, NJ she lived in Hasbrouck Heights, before moving to Mays Landing eight years ago. She was the beloved wife of Denis J. Cronin of Mays Landing for forty-eight years. Cherished mother of John Cronin and his wife Sherry of Westfield, NJ, Paul Cronin of Wood-Ridge, NJ and Denis J. Cronin, Jr. and his wife Mary-Lynn of Totowa, the adored grandmother of Daniel and Evan, Mike and Chris, Zachary and Kaitlyn. Also survived by her brother, Thomas McMillan and his wife Barbara of Old Bridge, NJ and their children Christine and David McMillan and family. She is predeceased by her mother, Mildred McMillan, father, Thomas McMillan and two brothers, Robert and Donald. Beloved sister-in-law, Peggy and Russell Ackerman, nieces and nephew Beth, Bill and Katie and their families. Her children will remember her as courageous, dignified, kind and considerate and a true friend filled with unconditional love, who always listened intently with an open heart. She loved each of her grandchildren dearly and cherished spending time with them every summer at the beach. The family would like to thank the nurses, doctors and staff at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, Pomona, NJ for their care and support of our mother and friend over the past several challenging weeks. The funeral will be from Dooley Colonial Funeral Home, 556 Westfield Avenue, Westfield, New Jersey on Wednesday at 9 AM, thence to Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Westfield for the Funeral Mass at 10 AM. The entombment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, 1100 East Broad Street, Westfield. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 2nd, 2012 from 5pm – 9pm.
